Dulwich newborn photographer

Hi! I’m Tricia Keracher-Summerfield, Mum to three amazing children (most times!) and an adorable (and cheeky) cocker spaniel.

I’ve been photographing newborns and their families in the Dulwich area for more than 10 years. I know how precious these early days with your baby are and I want to help you preserve these special memories with stunning images for you and your baby to cherish for a lifetime.

Creating beautiful photos of your baby from the comfort of your home

There is nothing more precious than the arrival of your newborn. As a Dulwich newborn photographer with more than 10 years of experience and a Mum to three children (and a very cute dog), you can rest assured that your baby will be safe in my hands and I will make this a memorable and pleasant experience for all.

Bringing the studio to you, enables me to capture these tender moments without the need for you to leave your home, which can be a challenge in the early days! In the early days of parenthood, you’ll really appreciate that you can take your time getting ready, enjoy a cup of tea and a few minutes to yourself while I make magic with the your little one.

Frequently asked questions

  • To ensure your booking, I recommend booking from 30 weeks of your pregnancy especially if you’d like to do a maternity shoot. If you book your maternity and newborn shoot together, you’ll receive 25% off the newborn session fee.

Since it is difficult to predict the exact arrival, I’ll pencil a few dates around your due date and will confirm the final date once your baby has arrived. To allow flexibility in my diary and provide the highest quality, I limit the number of shoots I do each month which also means that I’m often able to accommodate any late bookings. I appreciate that not everyone thinks of newborn photography before the baby arrives.

  • If you’re after the curled up, sleepy baby photos, the best time to photography your newborn is between 5 to 14 days old. This is when your baby will still be very sleepy and they are still able to curl up like they were in the womb.

Don’t worry if you’ve missed this period, we can still get gorgeous photos of your baby but they might not go into all the poses.

  • Fear not! I always have some flexibility in the week for admin, editing and last minute bookings. Please get in contact as soon as you can so I can fit you in.

  • Newborn photo sessions are completely baby led so that means I photograph around baby’s feeds, nappy changes and soothing.

All babies are different and some sleep solidly with no fuss and allow us to rattle through the poses in 2 hours while others need to be settled between poses.

I generally allow for up to 4 hours but if we need more time for the last few poses, that’s not a problem.

  • That’s not a problem. Photos with your baby’s eyes open are super cute too.

  • Of course! This is a special time for all the family and the Grandparents and your child will cherish the photos.
